What will you be doing?
As an Electrical Engineer (E&I), you will be part of a Controls & Electrical team in which electrification and automation solutions are designed and applied in cooperation with each other. You ensure that the modifications and/or new installations to the production site are correctly specified, drawn, implemented and documented. This makes it possible to improve the installations and increase production capacity.
Responsibilities
In this role you are responsible for:
- Review/Prepare: Scope of Work, Method Statements, Procedures, Job Cards, Vendor and
Construction Deliverable Documents, Red-Line Markups, MTO, BOQ, Permits to Work, JSA,
RA, Planning, and Preparation. - Execution: Participate in inspections, site HSE, mechanical completion walkthroughs, toolbox
talks, meetings, and coordination with vendors and contractors as required. - Execution: Participate in inspections, site HSE, mechanical completion walkthroughs, toolbox
talks, meetings, and coordination with vendors and contractors as required. - Scope of Work: Execute Brown Field HUC, Retrofit, and Interface activities to ensure
compliance with P&ID, SLD, and location layout drawings. - Mechanical Completion: Ensure all mechanical and pre-commissioning tasks are completed
before starting hook-up, retrofit, and interface tie-ins for wellhead control panels (WHCP),
well fusable tubing, upgrades to ICSS systems, RTU, and SCADA (downhole gauge, master,
safety shutdown, emergency shutdown valve). - Define and refine project scopes based on client requirements, ensuring alignment with
realistic project estimates. - Provide leadership and technical expertise in the design and implementation of LV and MV
electrical systems. - Conduct manual calculations to validate and optimize engineering designs.
- Collaborate closely with Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) teams across the Netherlands to
ensure seamless project execution. - Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in electrical engineering.
- Drawing and realizing electrical diagrams
- Making basic and detailed designs and realization of electrical installations
- Communication with electrical suppliers
Skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Being able to read and create electrical diagrams
- Good interpersonal communication, being proactive, initiative-taker, results-oriented and
enthusiastic - Extensive experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry, including hands-on expertise
with LV and MV systems. - Proficiency in relevant engineering software packages.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong communication and leadership skills.
- Electrical & Instrumentation Experience.
- E&I engineering experience in the petrochemical, chemical or oil & gas industry.
- Experience performing engineering assignments (production, maintenance, process, capital
projects, R/D). - Involving the application of established electrical technology and principles and often
requiring coordination with other engineering and functional competencies to provide
economical and expedient task implementation. - May be assigned to lead the electrical function associated with project.
- Also lead commissioning, startups, troubleshooting (FAT / SAT and SIL experience).
- Good verbal and written communication in English. Dutch is a plus.
